Iphone or Samsung which has a better camera

Even though there has been a lot of devices with amazing cameras that are just out of this world, two of these major devices have always been regarded as being the best of them all. These are Samsung annual Flagships And IPhones. 
Over the years, there has always been competition between these two major mobile brands and today, I will be comparing their cameras. 

Don't get me wrong, I won't be taking photos of things with both phones, all I will be doing is this; I will the best iPhone photography and I will also get the best that Samsung cameras has to offer and put them against each other. 

Best Of iPhone Photography

The iPhone camera is one of its major selling points. When you see some photos taken with an iPhone, you have no choice but to marvel at how 'neat' and amazing they come out. According to a post by MissTechy over 800 engineers work on the iPhone's camera so basically, there is no reason why the iphone camera shouldn't be awesome.

Earlier this year, the winners of the annualIPhone Photography award were announced and as is with every competition, there were some 'not-so-good' photos and some of the entries were so awesome, they left me in awe! 

Best Of Samsung Photography

After seeing the pictures taken with the iPhone camera above, I'm sure you might thinking 'there's nothing better than the iPhone's camera. However, I urge you to wait and see what samsung has in store.

The above video was taken EXCLUSIVELY by aSamsung S6 Edge. However, it was shot by a professional director so there are lights, scenery and a touch of experience while taking it and also editings and a few touches here and there after.

Finally, some comparisons between the two devices.

If after reading this and seeing the pictures and video above you still use your phone's camera for just taking selfies then you have to think again before putting those amazing cameras to waste.

BlackBerry to release middle end Android

Since the release of the Android powered BlackBerry priv the Canadian company appears to have a better chance at returning to it's past, lost glory than they did last year. 

Before the release of the Blackberry Priv, Blackberry had a market share of less than 1% and was really struggling to make sales. 
Blackberry had to make an android device since their BB10 devices didn't sell as expected. 

The Blackberry Priv is the first ever Android device from blackberry and according to a video interview on Bloomberg, there is probably another android blackberry device coming soon. 
In the interview, Blackberry's CEO John Chen announced that the company might be making another Android powered Blackberry device in 2016. According to him, if the sales for theBlackberry Priv are favorable in the first quarter of 2016 the company would likely add another Android device to the lineup. 

According to CrackBerry, the device will be called Vienna. 
The Blackberry Vienna will not have a 'slider' as seen on the Blackberry Priv, instead it will feature a fixed keyboard like the Blackberry Q5 and Q10.

There is no fixed release date for the Blackberry Vienna but as said earlier, it all depends on the success of the Blackberry Priv. 

The rumored specs of the Blackberry Viennaincludes a full Metal body, An SD CARD slot and an 8 or 13-megapixels camera. 

John Chen hinted that the Blackberry Viennawill be a mid range device but he also went on to say that the Company's main focus remains high-end - The expensive kind.

Nicholas Cage returns stolen artifact he bought

Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage has agreed to turn over a rare stolen dinosaur skull he bought for $276,000 to U.S. authorities so it can be returned to the Mongolian government.
The office of Preet Bharara, the U.S. attorney in Manhattan, filed a civil forfeiture complaint last week to take possession of the Tyrannosaurus bataar skull, which will be repatriated to Mongolia.
The lawsuit did not specifically name Cage as the owner, but Cage's publicist confirmed that the actor bought the skull in March 2007 from a Beverly Hills gallery, I.M. Chait.

The "National Treasure" actor is not accused of wrongdoing, and authorities said he voluntarily agreed to turn over the skull after learning of the circumstances.

Alex Schack, a publicist for Cage, said in an email that the actor received a certificate of authenticity from the gallery and was first contacted by U.S. authorities in July 2014, when the Department of Homeland Security informed him that the skull might have been stolen.

Following a determination by investigators that the skull in fact had been taken illegally from Mongolia, Cage agreed to hand it over, Schack said.

Cage outbid fellow movie star Leonardo DiCaprio for the skull, according to prior news reports.

The I.M. Chait gallery had previously purchased and sold an illegally smuggled dinosaur skeleton from convicted paleontologist Eric Prokopi, whom Bharara called a "one-man black market in prehistoric fossils."
The Chait gallery has not been accused of wrongdoing.

It was unclear whether the Nicolas Cage skull was specifically connected to Prokopi, who pleaded guilty in December 2012 to smuggling a Tyrannosaurus bataar skeleton out of Mongolia's Gobi desert and was later sentenced to three months in prison.

As part of his guilty plea, Prokopi helped prosecutors recover at least 17 other fossils.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Martin Bell, who prosecuted Prokopi, was also the lead government lawyer in the Cage case, according to court records.

Steve Harvey invited to host Miss Universe again after Blunder

 

Steve Harvey has been invited to host Miss Universe again despite his monumental slip-up.

The 58-year-old comedian made headlines all over when he announced the wrong winner.However,Miss Universe organiser Mark Shapiro says Harvey is more than welcome back next year. 

"He was funny, he was informative, he’s high energy, he’s got a great following," he said.I definitely want him back, and I would hate to see him not come back. He’s going to want a shot to redeem himself.”

And he's not the only one who wants to see him back - Miss Universe judge Perez Hilton also said he'd like to see him return.
He told Us Weekly:

 "They need to bring Steve Harvey back again next year. And bring me back as a special backstage correspondent."I was a little bummed he stole my thunder because I had a good Trump moment earlier in the telecast that nobody remembers now because of everything that happened.'

Miss Colombia breaks silence on Miss Universe pageant

 

Following the devastating and embarrassing emotions she passed through during Sunday night’s Miss Universe pageant, Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez has broken her silence and has done it with class.

Gutierrez shared a touching message for her fans on Instagram on Tuesday (Dec. 22).The 21 year old wrote 

“After the storm comes the calm..I want to thank each and everyone of you who have sent messages of support and strength. Every one of you has become an incredible human being in my book and I am the most fortunate and thankful for having the support not only from one country but from the whole entire world.“Your destiny is written for you,”“And my destiny was this. I was able to bring happiness to my country after becoming Miss Universe for only a couple of minutes… Today because of that COLOMBIA and the LATIN COMMUNITY are being talked about in every corner of the world.”

MTN to pay fine by Dec. 31 says NCC

The Nigerian Communications Commission NCC says that telecommunications company MTN will have to pay a $3.9 billion fine for failing to disconnect users with unregistered SIM cards by Dec. 31. 'Appropiate action will be taken' should MTN fail to meet the deadline, a source at NCC told Reuters.

Meanwhile MTN has filed a suit at the Federal High Court in Lagos challenging NCC over the fine imposed on them.

Blessing Okagbare gets Guinness World Record

Nigerian sprinter and long jumper Blessing Okagbare over the weekend beat the World's fastest man Usain Bolt to win the Guinness World Book of Records prize for most IAAF Diamond League appearances in 2015. Guinness Book of records said,

“Multi-discipline athlete, Blessing Okagbare from Nigeria participated at 38 Diamond league events between July 3, 2010 and September 5, 2014.

Okagbare’s specialties are the 100m and 200m sprints and long jump,” Jamaica's Usain Bolt has won the IAAF World Athlete of the year in 2008,2009,2011,2012 and 2013 but amazingly hasn't appeared in IAAF competitions more than Blessing Okagbere.

The IAAF Diamond League is an annual series of track and field meetings held from 2010 till date, and Blessing Okagbare has participated in 38 events higher than any other athlete in the world.

MTN Sues NCC to court over Fine

Months ago, NCC imposed a huge $5.2 billion fine on MTN for failing to disconnect 5.1 millionunregistered SIMs. The fine was later cut down by 25% to $3.9 billion and a deadline of 31st of December was set for the payment of the imposed fine.
However, the South Africa-based Telecom giant has filed a lawsuit challenging the fine imposed the NCC saying they want the court to dismiss the outrageous fine. 

In its defense, MTN has a team of elite lawyers which includes - Dr. Gbolahan Elias, A.B Mahmoud, Chief Wole Olanipekun, Tanimola Molajo, Oladipo Okpeseyi, Dr. Oladapo Olanipekun, Prof. Fabian Ajogwu - All of whom are all Senior Advocates (SAN). 
Also named as a defendant in the case is theAttorney General Of The Federation (AGF) and Minister Of Justice. 

MTN believes that since the NCC is just a regulatory body, it can't assume the powers of the state, especially since it made the regulation, laid down the penalty and also imposed the fined which is to be paid to the commission and NOT the Federal Government. 

The company also stated that a deadline of seven days to disconnect over 5.2 million Sim cards was inadequate and impossible to do. 

Finally, the company accused the NCC of acting as the legislator, Executor, prosecutor, Accuser, Judge and Beneficiary of the fine imposed on it. 
It also stated that the fine of N200,000 for each Sim that wasn't disconnected was simply outrageous and excessive.

Harvey's Blunder on Miss Universe 2105

Miss Colombia wiped away tears of joy as the $30,000 blue diamond and topaz crown was placed upon her head and she was named Miss Universe 2015, winning the title for her country for the second year in a row. But her glory only lasted for two minutes.
Just as Ariadna Gutierrez was blowing kisses and waving to her adoring fans she was informed, on live television, that it was actually Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo who was meant to be wearing the crown.

Steve Harvey strolled up on stage, the shame already evident on his face, when he told the crowd 'Folks, I have to apologize.''The first runner-up,' he then announced. 'Is Colombia.' 'Miss Universe 2015,' Harvey then dramatically clarified, 'Is Miss Philippines.'

Miss Philippines stared wide-eyed at the audience, her lip quivering as Miss USA whispered into her ear and she realized what exactly those words meant.

Pia joined Ariadna on stage and stared into the audinece in shock, Miss Universe 2014 Paulina Vega giving her fellow countrywoman a comforting pat on the back just minutes after they had shared a victorious embrace.  

'Folks let me take control of this,' Harvey told the sea of boos and cheers. 'This is exactly what's on the card,' he then said, displaying the results on the camera. 'I will take responsibility for this, it was my mistake,' he continued. 

'I can show it to your right here, the first runner up is Colombia,' it's my mistake, still a great night. Please don't hold it against the ladies.'

And then came for the heartbreaking moment when Miss Colombia had to bend down, allowing Vega, Ms Universe 2014, to remove the crown and place it on Miss Philippines head instead.

The telecast then came to an abrupt stop, cutting without credits or allowing Miss Philippines to take her first walk as Miss Universe.

‘I want to apologize emphatically to Miss Philippians and Miss Columbia,’ Harvey wrote in a tweet that has since been deleted in which he spelled both of the women’s countries wrong. ‘This was a terribly honest human mistake and I am so regretful.’

Fans immediately took to social media to react to the mistake, criticizing Harvey, expressing regret for Miss Colombia and praise for Pia.

‘Hey #SteveHarvey, good thing Pablo Escobar is dead. #MissUniverse2015’, tweeted one user. 

Another asked: ‘Can I hug Miss Colombia right now?’

‘I have to hand it to #PiaWurtzbach,’ wrote another. ‘She was careful w her reaction when she was called as Ms Universe. She knew a colleague was embarrassed.
